Lindisfarne Gospels

You can view 40 selected pages from the Lindisfarne Gospels at the British Library's Online Gallery under “Pinnacle of Anglo-Saxon art,” which is the next to last item at the bottom of the page. You will have to download a Microsoft Silverlight plug-in to make the British Library’s “Turning the Pages” feature work, but it’s worth it. Silverlight is compatible with Firefox 3.6 or higher and Chrome 12 or higher, but generally does not work with Safari or Internet Explorer.
